Comment:
Alton was in some of the very worst fighting in WWII. Relatives state he was a different person when he returned home. Now he would have been treated with Post-traumatic Stress Symdrome. But that kind of therapy was not available in 1945 and they didn't understand PTSS.

In Memory:
Sadly, my uncle, James Hinman, died September 12, 2007. I will greatly miss him. He was the historian for the Hinman Family for at least 15 years. Every once in a while he would call me and ask about something in the family line, which would send me off with researching.
James and Dorothy Hinman's ex-son-in-law, Charles "Charlie" Bailey was killed in a car accident on July 14, 2007.
We extend our sympathy to Dorothy and her family.
